Loving Memory

Becky Garcia Salcido, 70, of Fresno, California, passed away on January 16, 2024, surrounded by her family after a year long battle with cancer. She was born on June 3, 1953, in Pittsburgh, California, to Ramona and Arthur Garcia. Becky was the 3rd oldest of her 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Becky grew up in South East Fresno and attended Sequoia Jr. High School and graduated from Roosevelt High School. She worked for Central Unified School District for 31 years. In her retirement years she loved to travel, watch her grandchildren play sports and go to the casino.

Becky was a loving wife to her husband Robert Salcido. She was a loving mother to her daughters Andrea Salcido, Ramona Salcido and her companion Matthew Cruz and her step-daughter, Antinette Salcido. She adored all of her grandchildren Victoria, Maicee and Jordan Espinoza, Kayden and Kaylee Marquez, step-grandchildren, Nichole, Ernie and Starla Lopez. Becky was a loving sister to Richard Garcia and wife Sandra, Gonzalo Barrera and wife Karen, Margaret Chimkey, George Barrera and wife Sally and Alice Velasco. Becky adored each and every one of her many nieces and nephews.

Becky's presence, kind heart and contagious laugh will be deeply missed. She was the most selfless lady, full of life and not to mention funny. She leaves behind many cherished memories and a legacy of love and compassion. When you think of her, you will remember her infectious smile and how she welcomed everyone with open arms.
