Obituary

Roger Allen Cain, Jr.
("Cain Madness" | "Uncle Rodge")

Roger passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2025. He was only 47 years old. His family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Roger was born on
August 20, 1977 in New Haven, Connecticut and was living in Clovis, California at the time of his passing.

Roger grew up in New Haven until his family moved to California when he was in middle school. Even though he spent most of his life in California, New Haven was always in his heart.

As a teenager you could find Roger on a basketball court anywhere in town, always looking for a pickup game. As an adult, he was always looking to help someone who was less fortunate, even if Roger didn't have much either. He would always say, "if I'm with a friend and I only have $5 dollars for food, then my friend has $2.50 of it."

Roger met the love of his life, Amy, in December of 2016. The competitiveness of the two of them is what drew them together. Always competing against one another in any game they played. Their love flourished and they were married September 22, 2018. He was her King and she was his Queen. Truly, a match made in heaven. Team Cain!

Roger is survived by his wife Amy Cain, his mother Priscilla Daluz, sister Shannon Cain, brother Lawrence Daluz, "sister-cousin" Monique Frasier and many, many extended family members including lots of nieces and nephews who all love him dearly.

His Celebration of Life was held on March 22, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Clovis, Ca.

Although Roger's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
