Romana was born in Mercedes, TX on November 16, 1943, the daughter of Santos and Gregoria Blanco. After travelling to various cities for work the family called Biola, CA home. This is where she spent some of her childhood life as one of fourteen siblings. She married Navor Salas on April 20, 1962 and moved to Kerman where she remained to her death. Romana Salas, beloved mother to six children, 81, of Kerman, Ca, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her forever home on March 18, 2025 leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Romana will always be remembered for her strong, unique, personality and the way that she communicated her feelings with no words ever being said in such a way that everybody understood. We'll always imagine seeing the hand sign "I love you" one more time. We couldn't have asked for a better mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and will miss Romana every day. She got the blessing of experiencing four generations of her creations. Her memory will live on in the casinos, the local retail stores, and in the hearts of all those who loved her. Romana not only fulfilled the enjoyments of her life but also shared many of these experiences with her family up until the last days of her presence.

Romana was preceded in death by Navor Salas, and is survived by her six children Irma, Estella, Joey, Victor, Minnie, and Bea. She also had 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous step grandchildren who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

Romana's graveside service will be held at 11 am on April 4, 2025 at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Fresno, CA 93706.
