Ronald Gene Henson

(Ron)

Ron was born in Tulare, California on April 27, 1945, and passed away March 1, 2023, from bladder cancer at the age of 77. He served as a CB in the Navy where he was stationed in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Michelle, his 3 children, Tammy Staubs (Rudy), Joseph (Rachell), and Tifanie, as well as 10 grandchildren (April, Stephanie, Bryan, Brandon, Jaden, Ruben, Kayleigh, Jessie, Joseph, and Lilian). He was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren (Madelynne, JamesRyan, Owen, Trevor, and Holly).

He was preceded in death by his parents (ML and Beatrice Henson) and 5 siblings (Marvin, Joe, James, Lois, and Cynthia).

He attended Cooper Middle School and Fresno High, before joining the Navy. He worked as a parts manager for Pioneer Equipment Company in Five Points, CA and retired in 2001. Ron loved to work with his hands, especially spending time restoring classic cars, having a garden, and sharing time with his family. He was known for his quick and witty comebacks and taught his children the same. He leaves behind many friends here in Fresno and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial Services will be held on March 25, 2023 at the United Christian Church 1038 W. Shields Ave. Fresno, California at 2pm where his longtime friend Rick will be giving his eulogy. There will be a reception to follow.
