Ruben Lopez
1931 - 2021

Ruben Lopez was born June 10, 1931 in Redlands California and began his eternal life April 12, 2021 at the age of 89. Ruben is joining his parents Arturo Lopez and Juana Becerra as well as his three sisters: Carmen Villegas, Lupe Martinez and Connie Esquerra.

He is survived by his two sons Daniel and David Lopez and daughter Cecilia Vincent. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Ruben is also survived by his brother Art Lopez and sister Rosie Knox.

Ruben moved to Reedley California at a young age with his family. He quit school just before his freshmen year to help support his family after the passing of his father.

September 7, 1950, Ruben enlisted in the Unites States Army and served overseas during the Korean War. His decorations include: Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal 3rd Award, UN Service Medal, Occupation Medal (Germany) & the Purple Heart.

Upon returning home from his honorable service, Ruben began a career in construction. In 1966 he began a career at Sanger Boats until the summer of 1977.

In 1978, he obtained his Cement Concrete Contractors license and began his own business Ruben's Concrete. He retired at the age of 78 where he resided in Fresno California until his passing.

Viewing services will be held on April 26, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Yost & Webb Funeral Home in Fresno.

Gravesite service will be held on April 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Clovis Cemetery

Due to COVID restrictions only a limited amount of guests may attend.
