It is with great sadness that the family of Sam Sarkis DeOrian III announce his passing on August 25, 2024.

Sam was born in Fresno on October 14, 1970. Sam was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, cousin, teacher, and friend. Sam attended Madera Schools including Ripperdan Elementary and Madera High School where he was involved in the student body, participated in football, baseball, and basketball, and met the love of his life Sherisse. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Fresno State and various teaching credentials over the years. Sam worked as a history teacher and football coach for his alumni MHS. He worked in special education for Wilson Middle School in Chowchilla. The remainder of his career was in the Madera Unified Autism program where he worked with many young students with ASD and their families from Pershing Elementary. This was Sam's love and passion.

In his spare time, Sam enjoyed golfing and barbecuing for his family and friends. This 49er faithful was outgoing, friendly, quick witted, and had a larger than life personality. Sam left a positive impact on many lives.

Sam is preceded in death by his father Sam DeOrian II. Sam is survived by his wife Sherisse, sons Jake and Kyle, his mother Kathy DeOrian, his sister Karen DeOrian Kasparian and her husband Alan, his brother Paul DeOrian and his wife Marlene, and his sister Amy DeOrian. Uncle Sam had wonderful nieces and nephews whom he adored.

A private graveside service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held at Madera Golf & Country Club on September 21st at 11:00am.
