SHARON MARIE BARILE was born on March 2nd 1949 and passed away on May 9th 2026 after enduring many years of painful debilitating Multiple Sclerosis at age 77.

Sharon grew up in Fresno, California. Her parents were Daniel & Violet Castello.

Sharon attended Norseman and Leif Erickson grammar schools. Sharon attended Yosemite Junior High school and graduated from McLane High school in 1967.Sharon Graduated from Fresno State College in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Sharon worked at the IRS for many years and made many friends there. Sharon retired early from the IRS because her Multiple Sclerosis was progressing and she could no longer work. 

Sharon loved to laugh, had a great sense of humor and was quick witted. She loved jokes and she made Sharon style fun silly comments that made other people laugh. She never lost her sense of humor during the 11 years that she lay bedridden in the hospitals and nursing homes that she stayed in over the years even though she was in serious pain. She would joke and laugh with the nurses, staff and doctors. I think that somehow it kept her going.

Sharon made friends easily everywhere she went and would even joke and laugh with the employees at the bank and Walgreens that she saw regularly.

Sharon loved music and was a huge lifelong BEATLES fan. Her favorite Beatle was George Harrison. She bought all of their albums and George’s solo albums as well. She even saw the Beatles twice in person when she was young.

Sharon loved to go out dancing and fortunately she had a wonderful time dancing for several years before she got Multiple Sclerosis and could no longer dance.

Sharon was very close with her family, her Mom and Dad, her brother, Aunts and Uncles, her many cousins and especially her niece Michelle. 

Sharon loved a great many things in her life but her greatest love was for her dogs. She would often say the she was looking forward to being with her dogs who had passed away.

Sharon was a big animal lover especially Moose and wolves. She even sponsored a wolf in the wild and got regular updates on how it was doing. She also collected wolf statues, pictures, cards and mugs.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and her brother David. Sharon is survived by her niece, aunts, many cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

Sharon's Celebration of Life Memorial was held at a local Di Cicco's on Monday July 29th 2026. It was a wonderful Celebration of Life gathering. I think that Sharon would have loved it. Her family and close friends attended. The Hospice Chaplain Jason Nichols who had spent time with Sharon in the nursing home gave a beautiful eulogy.

We all deeply miss Sharon and now she is FREE dancing with her beloved dogs in Heaven.
