In Loving Memory of Shirley "Squirrely Shirley" Moore February 15, 1948 – May 31, 2025

Shirley Moore, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, artist, and friend, peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly home on May 31, 2025—a day that holds deep significance, as it also marks the anniversary of her cherished granddaughter Karah's passing 22 years prior.

Born in Oklahoma to Sue and Truman Brown on February 15, 1948, Shirley's life was a testament to kindness, faith, and an unwavering love for people. She was giving to a fault, always placing others' needs above her own, and found immense joy in spreading happiness. This was reflected in her art—her paintings were more than brushstrokes on canvas; they were expressions of love, joy, and the beauty she saw in the world.

Shirley made her home in the breathtaking Calaveras County mountains, finding solace and belonging in Mountain Ranch and San Andreas. Though she ventured elsewhere a few times, her heart always called her back to the place she truly belonged.

More than anything, Shirley cherished her family. She was a devoted mother and a proud great-grandmother to four darling little girls, who brought her endless joy. Her legacy of compassion, faith, and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. While she is deeply missed, her love continues to shine through the memories she created, the kindness she shared, and the beauty she left behind.

Celebration of Life: You are invited to honor Shirley's memory at 2 PM on July 19, 2025, at San Andreas Community Covenant Church, 61 Treat Ave, San Andreas, CA 95249. There will be a display of her artwork, a reflection of the joy she spread through her creativity. If you have photos of Shirley or pieces of her art, please bring them to share in this tribute to her beautiful life.
