Our Mother, Shirley June Verdugo (Licayan), aged 67 born June 2, 1957, in Fresno, California, passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 10, 2025. She attended Central High School in Fresno, Ca. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved to cook, laugh, and spend time with family and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Francisco Verdugo, her daughter Baby Verdugo, her parents Moses Licayan & Nellie Mullins, her sisters Joanne Licayan, Annette Licayan, and Brother Allen Licayan. She is survived by her beautiful children John Gonzalez* & Denise Pena (9), Valentino Torres* (5), Eric Torres* (3), Daniel* & Angel Torres (3), Jose* & Veronica Verdugo (8), Moses Verdugo(1), Severo* & Sammie Verdugo(7), and Roberto* & Jayne Verdugo(1), 5 stepchildren(14) and 51 grandchildren, Brother Daniel* & his wife Anna Licayan and Sister Carolyn Licayan and many nieces and nephews and friends. Shirley will be remembered by her fighting spirit as she fought cancer for more than 36 years. She will also be remembered for laughter, witty speech, and kind heart.
