Silvana (Panone) Rice, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Fresno, CA at the age of 79.

The oldest of five children, Silvana was born in Italy and came through Ellis Island to the U.S. with her family as a young teenager. They settled in Michigan before she moved to Fresno, California at the age of 16. Silvana married Harold Rice when she was 20 years old and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage next month.

Silvana was very proud of her daughters Susan and Denice and found absolute joy spending time with her 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was generous with her love and attention and went above and beyond to make each one feel special. Her energy was endless and her enthusiasm was contagious. She attended every special occasion she possibly could, including many trips to Chicago to share celebrations afar.

Silvana cherished the friends with whom she worked, played and laughed with for many years. She was always considered to be faithful, supportive and trustworthy. She was regarded as "family" to many co-workers over the past 40 years, especially to those at Educational Employees Credit Union where her work ethic was superb and her integrity unmatched. She helped everyone and expected nothing in return.

We will remember Silvana fondly for her kindness and generosity to family, friends, co-workers and strangers alike.

Her fiery red hair, and personality to match, will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold, her two daughter's, Susan Bringetto & her husband Mario, and Denice Kelly & her husband Jim. Cherished Nana of Jarrett (Shannon) and Anthony (Paige) Bringetto, and Jackson, Keelin and Michael Kelly. Great-Nana of Bella, Gigi and Marco Bringetto and Mason Bringetto.
