Susan Elaine Caneva, 70, of Clovis, California, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Susan was born on December 21, 1954, in Oakland, California, to Lester and Viola Charves. She spent over 40 years working in the medical field with Dr. Alfred Peters and Dr. Kristin Kroeker, where she was known for her care and dedication to others.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Susan loved nothing more than spending time with her family—especially her grandsons, Finnley and Lennox. She found great joy in gardening, cooking, traveling, and caring for the many cats she rescued over the years. She especially loved visiting Maui and spending time at the beach, places that brought her peace and happiness. Her compassion, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jeffrey Caneva; her daughters, Aimee Caneva and Alyssa Boger; her son-in-law, Matthew Boger; and her grandsons, Finnley and Lennox Boger. She is also survived by her sisters, Cathy Charves and Leslie Garrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Viola Charves.

Funeral service will be held at Yost and Webb Chapel on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to local animal shelters in Susan's memory.
