Trese my little sister, how I miss you so. We shared a bond from the
start that never faded through time or absence. Your life was one of
laughter, love, sacrifice, faith and hope. Always ready with a smile and a
laugh, and deep, meaningful conversation. You lived and demonstrated
the Christian principle of 'dying to self' by putting your own desires and
ambitions aside to care for mom in failing health, and Rebecca these
past years, taking on such a monumental task out of the loving care you
had for family.
You took all the trials that life could throw at you, and in these last
years, your faith in Jesus sustained, restored and strengthened your
spirit, and now you have entered His rest, and have received His
promise that you so believed in.
Only God himself knows the time of the appointment that each one of
us faces, and in His great love and mercy, knowing your departure was
near, He prepared and readied you, His child (and us) for the painful,
temporary separation that we were about to face. I will always
remember your love this past year for attending bible study, learning
and talking and about Jesus. I know you are with Him now.
My life is a little quieter now, but in that silence I can still see your
smile, see you making a funny face at me, hear your laugh, and feel
your hug.
Until we are reunited on that last day, I know that you are in His
embrace, and I will miss you terribly.
