We are saddened by the passing of LaVerne Sarkisian.

Varsenig Poochigian, born June 7th, 1931, in the Lone Star district of Fresno California to parents Khatoon (nee Topjian) and Dickran Poochigian, left this world May 23rd, 2024.  LaVerne was her preferred name
and was affectionately known as Varso to closest family members.
LaVerne was surrounded by family on her last, peaceful days.

Preceded in death by her loving parents, sisters; Araxie Poochigian, Ruby Hamparzoomian and Roxie Elmassian, brother Jack Poochigian, former husband Socko Sarkisian, son Rick Sarkisian and lastly partner James Chess.

LaVerne is survived by her daughter Pam Sarkisian Leary and son-in-law Terry Leary of Fresno, CA and his children,  daughter-in-law, Simona Sarkisian, grandson Daniele Mazio and his wife Menora, numerous nieces & nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews, great grandnieces & great grandnephews, cousins, and friends.  Memorial services will be held:
