On Wednesday March 16, 2022, William "Bill" V. Molina, loving husband and father of two, passed away peacefully at the age 91.  Bill was born on December 23, 1930 in Merced, CA to Ygnacio and Mercedes Molina.  He joined the U.S. Army in August 1948 and was honorably discharged in June 1952 at Fort Ord, CA.  Bill attended San Jose College after the Army.  He worked as a Social Worker for 30 years, primarily for the Monterey County Department of Social Services in Salinas, CA.  On December 16, 1961, he married Mary Espinosa of Le Grand, CA.  The happy couple welcomed William Michael, their first born, in July 1964 followed by Joseph Ignacio on November 11, 1968.  Bill and Mary enjoyed traveling together as well as spending time with friends and family.  Bill was a quiet man who loved his family. He did not say much, but when he did, he spoke with a booming voice and a dignified authority.

Bill is survived by his wife Mary, his son Willie, daughter-in-law Liza, and four grandchildren:  Taylor, Julian, Olivia, and Evangeline. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 671 E Yosemite Ave., Merced at 9:00 am and internment at Cavalry Cemetery, 260 W Childs Ave in Merced.  Donations may be sent to Mary Molina, 1700 Almond Ave., Merced, CA 95341.
