Richard "Rich" Linton, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Fresno, CA at the age of 65.  He was a loving father, brother, uncle and very proud papa.  He spent many years as a professor and never lost his passion for learning and sharing his knowledge with others. Rich loved all things Pittsburgh in the world of sports, especially his beloved Steelers, but moments spent surrounded by family were his most joyous occasions.  His deep faith in God was evident throughout his life and ultimately gave him peace.

He is survived by his daughter and two sons, Kelly (Linton) and Wade Gowers, Richard Jr. and Heather (Brown) Linton, Steven and Erin (Yano) Linton; by his four grandchildren, Kayle and Taylor Linton, Brayden Elliott and Logan Gowers. He is also survived by his two brothers, Thomas and Vera (Goosev) Linton and Timothy Linton and by his nephew Harrison Linton.  He was preceded in death by his mother Ann Linton.

Rich will be laid to rest with a private graveside service on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Clovis Cemetery District with support from the Yost and Webb Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the St. Agnes Foundation in support of the Heart & Vascular Program at www.samc.com/giving-opportunities or the local chapter of the American Heart Association at 7425 N.
