Raymond was born in San Francisco, California on October 6, 1927 to Paul and Elizabeth Kapigian. Raymond attended the following schools in Fresno; Heaton Elementary, Washington Jr. High, Roosevelt Jr. High and Roosevelt High School, graduating in 1945. He also graduated from Fresno Jr. College and attended San Jose State College. Raymond served in the armed forces, which included the United States Maritime Service, then in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and also in the Korean War. He met the love of his life in 1950, Orena M. Green (Mikie), and they were married on March 3, 1951. Together they had two children, Linda and Paul. Raymond is survived by the love of this life, Mikie; his daughter, Linda Reed; son in law, Rusty Reed; son, Paul Kapigian and his wife, Stacey; his four grandchildren, Eric Kapigian and his wife Diane, Melissa Gilmer and her husband Josh, Megan Borboa and her husband Brian, and Korey Reed and fiance Mike Williams. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, Rayanne and Bradley Kapigian, Madalynn and Kaelea Gilmer, and Brayden and Brody Borboa and his brother, Frederick Kapigian and his wife, Lillian. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Raymond attended St. Mary's Anglican Church where he served on the Vestry and as an usher. He will be missed by all who knew him. Graveside Services will be held at Ararat Cemetery on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church, 6175 E.
