Pete Garabedian, a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2012, at the age of 99. Pete was born on January 6, 1913, to John and Elizabeth Garabedian. Pete graduated from Central High School in 1931. Pete met his wife Jean upon his return from WWII and they were married on April 10, 1948. They were always at one another's side throughout their entire marriage and enjoyed 64 wonderful years together with family and friends. The family would like to express their special thanks to Dr. Steven Chooljian and his staff for the loving care they extended. We also want to give special recognition to Mary Montes, Lidia Rojas, Lisa Bell, Evelyn Dycus, and Cinnamon Dycus for their love and kindness while caring for Pete. Pete was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marjorie Jenkins; and brother, Dr. Henry Garabedian. Surviving him is his loving wife Jean; sons, Bruce Garabedian of Fresno and Dr. Michael Garabedian and his wife Susan Logan of New York; granddaughters, Alexandra and Michela Garabedian of New York; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Pilgrim Armenian Congregational Church at 3673 N. First Street, Fresno, Ca. 93726 on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
